This is the most common setup we see in small Texas towns: a busy Facebook page, no website, and no idea how many customers never made it past a comment thread.
What Facebook is good at
- Reaching people who already follow you
- Fast updates, photos and community presence
- Messages and quick questions
What only a website does
- Ranks in Google searches for your services
- Organizes services, pricing context and service area
- Captures quote requests in a format you can track
- Belongs to you permanently
Use them together
Post on social, send people to the site to act. Every post, bio and photo caption should have a path back to a page built to convert.
Then track it. If half your form submissions start on Facebook, that's worth knowing before you decide where to spend next month.
